Thanks for your interest in my campaign for port commissioner. If you're not being paid by a media outlet or political consultancy to do so, I'm genuinely flattered that you'd choose to read my Web page rather than enjoy the beautiful Pacific Northwest summer!

The race for Port Commission invariably attracts a number of freaks, weirdos, and one-issue candidates. It less commonly attracts voters that the current Port of Seattle management would consider weird, but I hope that there are a lot more of us out there than they apparently think.

What might make you a Taxpayer for Walker?

• You're fed up with endless corruption scandals and mismanagement at the Port of Seattle.
• You wonder why government agencies ranging from the Department of Transportation to Sound Transit get to treat the Port of Seattle like an ATM.
• You don't understand why the Port of Seattle has a police force nearly the size of the City of Renton.
• You don't believe that raising fees on airlines is a smart way to attract flights to Sea-Tac.
• You think that the Port ought to focus on its core business of moving people and cargo efficiently and cost-effectively, rather than getting into dubious businesses like real estate development.
• You want a Port Commissioner who will listen to you, and not fat cat campaign contributors.

Want to give me a bribe campaign contribution? Thanks, but no thanks: I'm not for sale. This office pays only $6,000 per year, and my opponents in the last campaign spent over $500,000 on their campaigns. I think the results speak for themselves.
